B&C take 4

December 20th, 2009 by ben

benandcad09 Another day, another redesign. There’s more behind this one than just a face lift. I’ve found that our posting at B&C has become a bit less regular. Meanwhile our blog All Day I’ve Been Thinking has been growing slowly and activity at Twitter, delicious, Facebook, and elsewhere has taken off. With that in mind we’ve put together a new layout based on Graph Paper Press’ “Visualization” theme. It highlights only the latest, while displaying some of our online life through WordPress’ “Lifestream” plugin. The hope is that this’ll keep B&C from becoming stale, as I felt it had been over the past few months. Being me I have a few more design tweaks to make, but we’re close to having something final here. I couldn’t wait to get this live though, so here you go. Hope you like it!

Back, and better

Blog Update #3

Finally. Our site has been badly in need of a facelift for a while now. We’ve been busy, as everyone is, with life-in-general. I could never quite bring myself around to devoting the necessary time. It’s been a weight, to the point where I debated shutting the blog down entirely. A different personal project*, however, helped me find the energy. So I did it…upgraded our version of WordPress, found a theme that managed content in the way I wanted, caught all our outdated posts up-to-date, and couldn’t be more happy.

*more on this soon.

One Year In

2008 Blog Update

Our blog turns one this month and with its second year comes a new look. The new design uses the WordPress theme QPwilm!, which I first ran across at QualityPeoples. Some fiddling and code tweaking was applied and now we have something more Ben and Cad’ified. As I’m a compulsive (and possibly obsessive) fiddler there’ll most likely be more small changes to come…

Apologies to those of you on IE. I’m working out some kinks that appear in that crap browser, but not in any other. Surprise, surprise!
