I was in Amarillo, Texas this weekend visiting my brother Joe and sister-in-law Jasmin and their kids. Here are a few shots of our nephews Ben and Sam and their 5 week old sister Lily.

Team Shirts

We’re just back from a typically wild, nonstop, and incredibly fun holiday week with the family. This year was a bit different in that all four siblings (and significant others) were home for Christmas. For my sister Sarah it was the first time in over five years. Sometime around eleven PM on Christmas I had to take a time-out and catch my breath. We were, after all, on our fourth night of parties, and fifteenth straight hour of opening, drinking, chatting, eating, ping-ponging, drinking, Scattegoring, drinking, eating, opening, drinking, chatting, eating, and drinking. Earlier on Christmas, my sister Barb passed out very similar looking presents to everybody in the room. Caddie and I opened first. Check out the photo for what we unwrapped, designed and put together by Barb, her fiancee John, and friend Guerin. It’s crazy to think that the next time we’ll see everybody is down in Sayulita. If the past few days are any indication it’s going to be a fantastic week. Rest up.

We’re just back from a couple weeks in New England. While there we spent some time out at Saquish, the family beach place in Massachussetts. As always, it was a great and relaxing few days.

baja california sur, 02.2007

This past February we spent a week in Baja California Sur with my Mom. It was a pretty great trip; from our first few days at the Cabo Surf Hotel, to the first of many whale sightings, snorkeling with sea lions in Cabo Pulmo (one of my favorite places in Baja), the carnival in La Paz, kayaking off Isla Espiritu Santo, heading out with the grey whales in Magdalena Bay (where I studied abroad), and capped off with a great couple of days in Todos Santos and an incredible room at the Hotel California.

Mmmm…ballenas.
