Cad and I had our first night out without Eleanor. It was also our first trip to the Greek Theater, somewhat surprising given that we’ve been here six years (which is shocking in and of itself!). Huge thanks to Heather and Anthony for looking after Eleanor while we were out!

We caught Matt & Kim at the El Rey last night with friends Pia and TJ. It was a fun show, don’t think Matt or Kim stopped smiling the entire time, which is part of the act I guess. It works regardless, makes it all really playful. Having said that, I did not expect the nutty stage diving and crowd surfing scene they attract…or maybe I’m just over thirty.

Elbow, a personal favorite, have a new album out called “The Seldom Seen Kid.” We were lucky enough to catch them live at the Avalon last Friday. The Avalon show was the third time we’d seen them since their first US tour, and expectations were high. They did not disappoint.
